Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering (TKMCE), Kollam, established in 1958, was the first grant-in-aid engineering college in the state of Kerala. Founded by the visionary industrialist and philanthropist Janab A. Thangal Kunju Musaliar, the institution was formally inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, on July 3, 1958.

Over the past six decades, TKMCE has produced thousands of engineers, researchers, administrators, and entrepreneurs who hold distinguished positions worldwide. The college is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Computer Science, and Architecture disciplines.
The TKM 60 Plus Connection
Alumni who graduated in the inaugural decades (1958 onwards) formed Club Millennium TKM 60 Plus to stay connected with the institution's growth, support underprivileged students, and celebrate the rich legacy of their college days.
